Unreservedly no lack of anything

I sent the message below to a young lady, who is on the cusp of a career change.

“I hope your day is productive on all fronts, look out for new ideas and clear paths. The Lord is at work in your life. He leads us to green pastures and besides still waters. She replied. “This is very encouraging and much needed, thank you”. And she asked, “does He lead to peaceful places, I am confused?”

My response: As sheep, we tend to go astray as sheep do, the emphasis is a need for a shepherd. Likewise we humans have the ability to wander away deep into our imagination, intellect and desires. Isaiah 53:6 (NASB)  All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the wrongdoing of us allto fall on Him

Whereas sheep in the fold stay close to the shepherd, we must elect to stay close to ‘The Shepherd – Jesus’  John 10:11 (NIV) I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Psalm 23:2(NASB) He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. Following this line of thought, when we engage Christ in the small and big decisions we make in life, He will lead us beside the still waters and green pastures. His best picks are where His protection resides and wholesome growth happens. Psalm 23:1. (HCSB)  The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.

God promises us nothing less, than His power and His assuring presence.

My Journey with More Than Jewels (MTJ)

I am proud to tell you that I am part of More than Jewels since May 9th 2014, when I met Ms. Amy Kumar in the career counseling class and later on in learning English.  I was born in a Hindu family, as a child living in a children’s home I was taught to pray and was encouraged to read the Bible I religiously followed the rules.

Every year thereafter during my summer holidays I began attending the Bible studies taught by Ms Amy and MTJ friends. I developed a desire for God’s word, my questions were answered. I learnt many truths through these studies. I came to know how much God loves me I accepted Christ as my Savior on July 23rd 2017, after studying the life of Leah in the Bible. I was given the name Leah at my baptism. This experience changed my life. I still attend the Bible studies Ms Amy teaches the biblical truths have made me a strong woman. I have been discipled by her, I have an eight year relationship with MTJ. I now teach the Bible.

I gained many social skills as well. I met a lot of new friends and participated in many fun events. I am now given leadership responsibilities in the ministry of MTJ, which I enjoy.

I work as an accountant in an auditor’s office here in my city, I am also pursuing my Chartered Accountancy course of study I hope to complete next year. This has been my childhood dream. I am grateful to God for bringing positive people around me to make this happen.

Lovingly Leah.

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit.

Continuing in making Christ known

Shalom and Greetings from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude towards More than Jewels for coming through for us during a time of need. Not just financially but we have grown spiritually as we are drawn more closely to God. We have grown to love Him more on a daily basis.

Our relationship as a couple has really been impacted positively, in a time of lack we should have drifted apart from each other but when our path crossed with More Than Jewels, we are experiencing absolute peace and we remain hopeful and determined to make our livelihood better through the guidance and tutelage by More than Jewels.

We are constantly reminded to seek the face of God in every situation that befalls us, through this quest to seek God’s intervention, our faith has grown and our lives will never be the same again.  We are also being equipped through business and leadership mentorship, which is helping to pick the right strategies to run business in the Tourism sector.

We hope that one day we will be able to illuminate the light of MTJ to our community, impacting lives and create disciples under the flagship of MTJ, raising men and women who will Love God more!

We are really thankful for all the help we are receiving from More than Jewels.  May God richly bless you, keep you long.

Kind and warm regards

Isabella and Paul.

John 17: 7… Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

The Joys of learning

When we teach we learn, every teacher can attest to the truth of this statement. We have been having a lot of fun both learning and teaching.

The classes on Zoom are regular and well attended, the young adults have been committed, being students themselves, they are imparting eternal truths to others. The lockdown discipline has been a blessing in giving us an opportunity to teach without borders.

The daily interactions with a very happy and content group of students is a bliss.

The students have developed meaningful friendships. We learn together how to love each other with grace, compassion and mercy. There is an expression of good will and friendship to  others.

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 55:11. that the Word of God will not return void, that means it will ultimately accomplish whatever God intends it to, yes, it is transforming lives. We are grateful.

Psalm 32:8. (NET Bible) I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.

Rooted and being built up

Hello,

This is Amy I am state side now. I had to return early unplanned due to the pandemic restrictions. Since being back we have begun work on line we have taken our teaching on Zoom. It has been a blessing in many ways. I with my committed friends are busy every day teaching classes. it has been a sheer joy interacting with students with oceans between us. Education without borders is a privilege. Our students are being rooted in the Word of God and immoveable in their faith. It is sheer joy seeing them grow.

Thank you for visiting, we plan to keep this website updated regularly from now on. I appreciate your patience. Please meet one of our star students, he has been with us for five years. I wish him well in all his endeavours to serve the Lord.

Balaji Barnabas

Hi, my name is Balaji Barnabas I am twenty one years old. While recollecting my thoughts of my past life, I feel blest to have been introduced to More Than Jewels (MTJ) God showed His gracious love through the work of MTJ. I experienced genuine love with fairness. My life as a Christ follower started with Psalm 23.1. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. It was a day in December when I first heard this, I had an immediate desire to become a sheep to that Good Shepherd.

Now I know I am bound to live in God’s Kingdom, all because MTJ showed me ‘The Good Shepherd’. I was influenced to know Jesus through God’s love. I saw  the influence of Jesus in every students’ life. God showed me His love through Ms Amy in this organization.

I am now being discipled to be leader. It is my desire to teach God’s word. I completed my Bachelors in Business administration. I am now being coached in a Bible institute and in Crystal Classes through the good work of More Than Jewels. My goal and dream is to finish my Masters in the next two years along with my Bible courses.  I will promise you, I will show the world what you showed me through God’s love. I love you and thank you Amy aunty.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor.15:58 (NIV)

The Lord has come

Greetings! Thank you for visiting. I wish you a blessed Christmas and renewed strength for the coming year.

The year 2020 has taught us many lessons, as we moved into action to deal with what surprised us. We felt estranged from God when Covid hit our families. I lost my brother to Covid this year. Through this loss my family and I sensed God’s presence, we were able to bask in God’s Sovereign power as He led us with His divine grace and comfort.

For God so loved the world (you) that he gave his one and only Son,(Jesus) that whoever(you) believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

We at this time of the year in remembrance of God’s gift of His Son, celebrate Jesus our Lord’s coming into this world yes, He came to die, the very reason my brother could be with Jesus now.

A blessed assurance for his family members left behind, who miss him. My hope and prayer is you will know Jesus personally.

I wish you God’s wonderful gifts of faith, hope, peace and Christ’s love at Christmas and always.

An Honorable Right

Thank you for visiting our website, we are glad you took the time to stop by. Our plan is to keep the website active with updates. We invite you to subscribe to receive a correspondence from us periodically.

I am stateside now, happy to be home with my family and friends, after a lengthy time away.  One of the fascinating stories in the Bible is about Philip and the Ethiopian recorded in the book of Acts. 8:26-40. Philip was the first missionary to the Gentiles. He was directed by an angel of God to go to the road that descended from Jerusalem to Gaza. He met an Ethiopian official who was at that time providentially reading Isaiah 53:7-9. Philip was prompted by the Holy Spirit to join the chariot and asked the official if he understood what he was reading. The official said “how could I, unless someone guides me?”. We read further in verses 35 and 37, about Philip teaching the Ethiopian about Jesus straight from the scriptures. The Ethiopian proclaimed,  ”I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”  He is now by his own admission a child of God indeed.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. John 1:12

Jesus gives us the honorable right to be a child of God our Creator, who loves us best.
